Indie Connect i *NEEDED* this great game ASAP, so i just downloaded it.

But when I start it (MacBook Pro 4,1 early 2008 running MacOS 10.5.8) with fullscreen ON my screen looks glitchy, then black, the fans start running on high speed and the computer freezes completely.

Moinsen!

MfG, Lautsprecher.

Love the art design, and the sound design so far has been very effective!

Really enjoyed the concept, I hope that in future installations there are more opportunities for finding alternate solutions to complete a level. I can imagine players uploading their videos to youtube of 'solving' a level with unusual and unique solutions.

I'm sure you've got enough of your own ideas, but hey, thought I'd throw it out there:
I don't particularly need 'enemies', but if there were little harmless animals scurrying around that could be 'crushed' by the falling blocks, that could be a lot of fun. I know they're just more things to animate and they'd take up memory, but it would really add to the sandbox environment (especially if you could grapple/launch them).

Will there be mod tools in the final game?

First I would like to say the demo is amazing. Once its up for sale my wallet is in your hands . I noticed some of the files were in a very easy to edit format which made me very pleased to see. Will you allow the user to create their own content for the final game? This adds an entire new level of re-playability to a game and allows for a large and long lasting fan base. Hopefully you guys decide to. Once again, great work on the game and I can't wait for the next demo!

my opinions

first of all, i'm kinda confused why there is so little going on on this board. but anyway, heres what I thought about the demo.

It was very frustrating. the bit with the rocks falling on the bridge took me at least 20 tries, as it seemed like just luck where the rocks went. also with the bit where you had to cut all the columns and jump across (second to last save point) I kept trying to not cut the bridge bit in the middle and walk across it. eventually I managed to do it and got past but again it took me at least 20 tries. afterwards I realised you could just cut it all. I didn't have so much trouble with the other obstacles but I still felt like "was that the way I was supposed to do it?" as I just cut randomly and fiddled with it untill it worked. so personally i just didn't find those bits fun, but i did enjoy cutting stuff, so i'd appreciate it if the final game had a lot more oppertunities to wreck everything.

also I didn't like the way tiny jumps. it feels very limiting and clunky, and adds to the frustration. It's much more satisfying to have a character that is easy to control overcoming difficult jumps, than a character that is difficult to control overcoming easy jumps. So i think i'd prefer it if tiny jumped higher and fell slower, i'm not sure what it would be like though.

Also I had massive frame rate drops but only when i looked at the mountain, just to let you know.

I very much enjoyed your game, and it has some very fun mechanics! The music in the game is quite good too! One thing I would like to see in the game is some parts where you need to swing with your grapple hook to get across an area. Looking forward to the rest

Also, the only bug (sort of) I found was the fact that troll science worked.
Wonderful game- couple o' suggestions

Hello there, just played the alpha / demo thing and thought it was ace, even if the art style did remind me of a nightmarish animation I watched on Channel 4 when I was severely ill and home from school in around 1992. Anyway here's some feedback-

Firstly, walking off cliffs is not fun when you're using the pull rope. Since you can't really look behind you when you're pulling things, would it be possible to stop your chap when he's about to fall off something? Alternatively, add some kind of winch to the pull rope- right click to latch on, left click to pull it towards you. Another alternative would be to make it so you have to deliberately jump over any edge that borders a chasm- you could still fall off, but you'd have to want to do it. Could be a little hard to implement though.

Secondly, the laser controls are a bit confusing. I'm not really sure how I'm supposed to be moving the mouse to get the cut I'm after. I *really* like that you get to stop and think about it, and even cancel it if you don't think that it's right, and that cancelling it doesn't mean clicking a big red 'X'. That's good, keep that. But at the same time fine tuning the cut seems something of a black art- I'm just wiggling my mouse around and never really understanding how that's impacting things.

Anyway, that's just what I think. Keep up the good work guys.
